Prestwold Hall Wedding | Rebecca & Conor’s – August Celebration

Some wedding mornings just hit you straight away. You walk in and you can feel how the day’s going to go. As a photographer, capturing Prestwold Hall Wedding Photography for Rebecca and Conor’s wedding was exactly that.

I arrived to lots of laughter and Rebecca with some of her bridal party absolutely belting out Sweet Caroline around the piano. No nerves, no stiffness, just pure excitement. It’s something I see time and time again: the mood in the morning really does set the tone for the whole day, and this one was always going to be a good one.

Morning preparations at Prestwold Hall

Rebecca got ready in Prestwold Hall’s beautiful bridal space — light-filled, calm and full of energy all at once. It’s such a lovely place to get ready, especially when the morning is relaxed and you can feel the energy of everybody enjoying being there.

One of the most emotional moments came when Rebecca shared a first look with her dad. A quiet, heartfelt pause in the middle of a very lively morning — happy tears, a long hug, and one of those moments that really reminds you what the day is all about.

Elsewhere in the venue, Conor and the boys were getting ready too, captured by my wonderful second shooter. From final touches to nervous laughs, it meant their morning was documented just as honestly.

An outdoor ceremony in the grounds

The ceremony took place outside in Prestwold Hall’s gorgeous grounds — August sunshine doing its thing. Rebecca walked down the aisle to a string quartet, which felt timeless and understated in the best way.

The ceremony itself was warm, personal and full of smiles, and it flowed straight into confetti and celebrations without missing a beat.

Making the most of the space (and the bar)

Rebecca had her heart set on photos in the bar area, so we did exactly that — heading there while guests were still enjoying their free drinks and before it became busy. We started with some relaxed, editorial-style bridal party photos, then took the opportunity to capture the first set of couple photos in the same space.

It was one of those moments where everything just worked: no interruptions, no rushing — just space to breathe and enjoy it.

Group photos followed outside in front of Prestwold Hall’s grand exterior before guests were called in for dinner. As everyone took their seats, we slipped away again for more couple photos, including a few with a vintage car belonging to Rebecca’s dad — such a personal touch.

We wandered through the grounds together afterwards, making the most of the space and the pace of the day.

Speeches, golden hour & a proper party

Rebecca and Conor entered the wedding breakfast before speeches kicked things off — relaxed, funny and full of warmth. Once food was served, we snuck away once more for golden hour couple photos. That soft August light never disappoints, and it’s always worth stepping outside for a few quiet minutes together.

As evening guests arrived, the energy shifted again. A brilliant band got the dance floor going, and from that point on it was full-on party mode.

Before heading off, we finished the night with a few final photos in the orangery — a calm little pocket at the end of a very full day.

It was one of those weddings where you just know the celebrations won’t end when the music stops. And sure enough, the next morning I received a video from Rebecca of another early-hours piano session — the perfect full-circle moment after how the day had started.

Rebecca and Conor, thank you for such a joyful, honest day at Prestwold Hall. One I won’t be forgetting in a hurry.
